Understanding SigDev's Sentiment Data

Clicking on the Sentiment tab allows you to view the average investor sentiment (based on Twitter) across all of the included coins in the selected category. Note: view page X to learn more about how we measure sentiment.

1. SigDev breaks down the sentiment data down to hourly, daily and long term.

2. On the News section, you see what publication writes most about the coins in the selected category. See the relative mentions by comparing the last 24 hours with the 30 day daily average.

3. Twitter sentiment gives you a pulse on the market in a quantified, real-time way, that would not be possible by reading tweets yourself. When these values become extreme, either bullish or bearish, this often indicates there could be an unusual event skewing conversation or a potential opportunity worth investigating.
